DtL is based in fluid current time, meaning years and dates will be in the current year of real life time. DtL's city is a fictional city in Nevada named Madreselva, a 'little' city that's projected to exceed Vegas in the very near future in occupancy, income, and in some circles something more.
  
  On the surface Madreselva operates like an average big business city, yet in the underbelly there exists a trades that even Las Vegas would hesitate to admit associating itself with. Underground shifter fighting rings, purchasable chains to change humans into shifters, a police force willing to look the other way for the right price. And for generations the Capello family has been 'acquiring' those of shifter blood. While it may be a well kept secret by those in the know, the secrecy isn't hurting business.
  
  What side will you stand on? Buying your way into purer shifter blood? Using the many shifters available for your own needs? Trying to figure out what hides in the shadows? Or will you remain blissfully unaware of what hides from the light?
