What is EXP?

• EXP stands for Experience Points.
• Non-mages and mages can both use EXP to level up their skills. Mages can also use EXP to level up either their skills or their magic level.
• Mages can spend EXP to level up their chosen magical ability, however, they can also level up by using the milestone, questing, and crafting systems. A mage must still decide whether they are leveling up their magic or skill but not both.
• Mages must choose to either level up a skill or their magic level.
• Each level of magic requires a specific amount of EXP. to be spent in order to be reached. Please reference the Magic Guide for the different levels and their associated EXP cost.
• EXP can be thought of as a currency. For example, if your character has achieved 50 EXP, and wants to level up both a skill that requires 10 EXP, as well as a magic level that requires 50 EXP, you would need 60 EXP in total to level up both.

Earning EXP

• Your character earns EXP by posting. Each post will get you 2 exp, each new IC thread will earn you 5 exp
• Your character can also earn EXP by completing quests or crafting items. Please see our Questing and Crafting Guide for more information.
• Until we are able to write a custom plugin for handling EXP automatically, please post here in the Request EXP Updates thread to have staff update your character's EXP on their profile.
