Creating your character on Avestral

1. Character species must be either Equine or Cervine. This includes hybrids such as Pegasus, Unicorn, Alicorn, Kirin, and Hippocampi. Cervines can also fall under any of these categories of hybrids.
2. There are no design restrictions for Avestral, aside from two caveats. The first is that the species must be Equine or Cervine based. The second is that characters may not bring site-specific items or companions with them from another RPG unless you've gotten written permission from the owner of the species/item
3. Characters may join with a companion without purchasing an item from the store. The exception is mythical/extinct/non-existent species, for which access can only be gained through store purchase or specific events
4. Characters may bypass the mythical companion restriction if they opt-in to a quest to retrieve them.
5. On Avestral there are magic users and non-magic user characters. Magic users are called mages. Any type of magic you can dream up is available to you on Avestral.
6. You can join a mage or non-mage right out the gate, the only requirement is that ALL mages start at Level 1. Please see our Magic Guide for more information on this.
7. All characters have low-level innate magic that will allow them to navigate all the environments of Avestral. If you have a non-hybrid Equine or Cervine character in the Sky faction for example they will be able to fly via passive/innate magic. The same is true for the Sea Kingdom, all characters will be able to breathe underwater without gills.
8. All characters also possess minor telekinesis to allow them to wield and use items.
9. All characters must belong to one of the 3 factions, Sea, Sky, or Midlands. First characters must join either Sea or Sky unless there is an incentive active.
10. To create a character, please register their account with their name. Avestral works on a 1 OOC, multiple IC account system. Next, fill out all the boxes on the profile, this will correlate to the Appearance, Personality, History, Items/Companions, and Credits tabs.
11. Characters are required to have either a reference or 2-3 paragraphs, 5 sentences per paragraph OR a bullet point list will be accepted, for each section of their profile - Appearance, Personality, and History. Item/Companion descriptions are also required if your character is bringing either one of these. As long as you can give us an idea of your character, we're pretty lenient.
12. Post your character in the Character Acceptance board for staff to approve and sort your character and discord account to proper channels/boards.
13. Characters may be any size as long as they are not larger than the largest equine or cervine to ever have existed. This is to ensure that characters remain more equine/cervine in nature.
