[center]Fifteen years have passed since the night Batman/Bruce Wayne sacrificed his life to protect the citizens of Gotham from a nuclear bomb carried out by Talia Al Ghul, the daughter of Ra's Al Ghul and accomplice of Bane. What no one from Gotham didn’t know was that Bruce actually survived and was living in Florence, Italy with Selina Kyle. Both of them took different indemnities, Thomas Kane and Selina Kane, living out the rest of their lives together away from the madness.
As for Gotham? They had a new protector in former cop John Robin Blake who didn’t take up the mantle of Batman. Instead, he took up another mantle in the form of Robin, The Boy Wonder. Defending Gotham he worked with the GCPD to clean up the mess Bane, Talia and The League Of Shadows left in their wake. Crime went down through these fifteen years, but recently spikes of increased activity have caused crime to come back up.
But that’s not even the worst of it all, recently a natural disaster in the form of a 7.6 earthquake has struck Gotham destroying everything in its sight. Robin, the GCPD, GCFC, and others help join the frantic rescue efforts around the city which spirals into chaos. Even criminals who were serving time in jail run away once the prisons break down, so they need to find them and get them behind bars. As much as Robin does everything he can to rescue those who need help, it becomes too much for him. Calling on one man for guidance and what to do next, John calls one man for help in the form of Bruce Wayne.
Watching what happened on the news about Gotham, Bruce couldn’t let the people of this city down once again. So he decides to head back to the city he grew up in since the day Wayne came into this world. Not only will he reveal to everyone that the son of Martha and Thomas Wayne is alive, but he plans on becoming the proctor and savior of Gotham once again as The Vengeance, as The Dark Knight, but as Batman.
But he’s not the only hero stepping back into the fray so to speak. With the emergence of Superman and other vigilantes, super powered heroes , super powered villain's etc. the question must be asked…who does Batman trust? Better yet, who do you trust as we enter a new dawn….The Dawn Of DC that is.
