The story was told that a King named his daughter heir and remarried. He had sons, but did not name them and, upon his death, the realm descended into chaos. This is not that story. The chaos bubbled beneath the surface, but was never able to boil and spill forth over the borders of the Keep when Rhaenyra ascended the Iron Throne as the oaths were sworn so many years ago. It does not mean the chaos has died – no – merely that it simmers beneath the surface...
