GASLAMP FANTASY is defined as a mashup of historical fiction and fantasy, often focused in the Regency/Victorian/Edwardian eras with steam engines and other archaic technology. It is similar to steampunk, except gaslamp focuses on magic and fantasy creatures whereas steampunk is considered to be more sci-fi.
