It’s the year 2023 and a lot has changed since the days of Harry Potter. Technology has arrived in the magical world and with it jobs that had never been heard of before are booming. The Weasley family has pulled off a Cinderella rags to riches story and developed magical vehicles for those who don’t want to, or can’t, apparate, don’t like Floo Powder or the environmental waste of portkeys.  Hogwarts is also now offering a three year University for a mix of classroom and field work in highly specialized fields such as Aurors, Hitwizards, St. Mungo’s Healers, and Hogwarts nurses and doctors to prepare them for the high stress and difficult careers they’ve chosen.

With the good comes the bad, or so it goes. It has been just over a year since the Enlightened revealed magic to the world in the worst way possible - through using it to cause death and destruction to both worlds. As if that wasn't bad enough they killed the former Minister for Magic along with his mistress and a number of high ranking magical and muggle officials live on television using magic, they attacked St Mungo's resulting in dozens of deaths and most recently they have brought Beauxbatons Academy of Magic to its knees forcing the students and staff to seek refuge at other magical schools with the majority choosing Hogwarts.

Witches, wizards and muggles alike are terrified and that fear is causing even people who have known each other their whole lives to turn on one another. Muggles are attacking anyone who is magical out of fear that they might be next while the Ministry and Guardians are doing their best to de-escalate things and keep everyone safe and with a number of Enlightened members killed or captured following the attack on St Mungo's it is only a matter of time before the people leading the group along with the other members are brought to justice. Who is among the Enlightened? Is it the guy in the office next to you? Your best friend? Is it you? Are you seeking to catch the wrongdoers or are you simply trying to stay alive and safe?

A wise old man once said happiness can be found even in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light. With that I only say: Lumos.

Beauxbatons students and staff have now joined the ranks at Hogwarts following the destruction of their school and exams are fast approaching for all students.

We have also recently implemented a new rewards system and members new and old are welcome to make one free character without submitting a full application for them meaning you can get started roleplaying straight away while other characters are eligible to make using our short application.
