She should never have been allowed to lay. It was a bad omen. Now let her rot in that cold, dead Weyr, far away from anything too precious to hurt.

Apocalypse Weyr Home | Dragons | Magic | Ads | Discord
Six months ago, Ista Weyr's mutant queen's maiden clutch hatched, revealing multiple dragonlings that didn't fit the mold. Soon after, an earthquake struck. Dragonriders are always superstitious people and, fearing the queen was somehow a magnet for wild magic occurrences, Ista exiled her and her clutch to an abandoned Weyr on the southern continent.

They named it in her honor. One month ago, the last major shiploads of supplies and people landed, the riders mustered for the welcome, and Alys Weyr became the permanent home of Nacre Alyth and her first clutch.

It's a mean settlement, its halls echoing empty and the hearthfires of its holdfolk menaced by the shadowy pineforest. Ista sent only basic supplies -- the 'folk have been foraging for what they can and turned to the nearby sea for the rest. As usual, the dragonriders have taken all the best food and ritual reagents for themselves.

But not even they can escape the persistent sense of unease that hangs in the air...
  • 6-12 month arc plotted
  • Adoptable leadership, mid-bosses free to create
  • Based on Alice in Wonderland, Dark Souls, tales of faerie, and other dark fantasy
  • Muddy to dark tone, with glimmers of light
  • Magic and rituals
  • Whers
  • Mutations, queer dragonkin, no locked impressions
