Kasikill
Kasikill is a city of riches and splendor. It is here that the inhabitants are the most out of touch with what they refer to as the “Cursed” members. While the "Enlightened" members see everyone else as beneath them, they have become the main audience of vile activities. Their half of the city may be beautiful, but there are numerous dark deeds hiding in plain sight.

Inhabitants of Kasikill are often faced with a moral dilemma they have created by allowing their kingdom to be so drastically separated from their "Cursed".

In order to function in Kasikill, one must have a network of peers who have their backs. The "Enlightened" are in denial about how poor the living conditions of the "Cursed" are. If one were to look upon the city for the first time, one would be able to see the drastic line drawn at its middle. In Kasikill, you are either very blessed or very cursed with no in-between.

The Cursed come from other kingdoms and battle for the scraps that fall from the roofs of the elite. They never get anything of value and the finer objects that float in the city seem to circle around them. Only the truly troubled dwell here, those of poor quality that are plagued by curses of their own making.

The population of Kasikill comprises mostly of the resplendent "Enlightened". A very small amount of them has gained an impressive amount of wealth and notoriety over the years, which causes the "Cursed" to sufferer great feelings of envy. The "Enlightened" are in denial and bored while the "Cursed" grow quiet fires of rebellion throughout the slums of Kasikill.

Niverval Isles
The Niverval Isles are a chain of migrating islands that drift through the realm of Avestros. They have no set trajectories and drift whimsically across the sky alike clouds. They are made of solid earth and remain suspended in the sky. The chain of islands moves together across the sky. They can be seen at any time of year, although depending on the season they may be in a different location in the sky.

The Niverval Isles are home to the nomads of Avestros. They have built great structures and ways of life that are very different from the divided city of Kasikill. Many nomads have lived their whole lives on the isles because they have not had a reason to leave. The isles are among the safest locations in all of Avestros.

There is an abundance of raw beauty in the isles. Massive mountains and roaring waterfalls that tumble into the sky beneath the chain of flying islands can be seen from a distance. A thick layer of fog drifts beneath these migrating structures. Most of the nomads won't go down into the fog for fear of getting lost. There are some who are more adventurous and tell grand tales of the mysteries of the fog, but none of these have been proven.

The Niverval Isles is one of the most visited locations in all of Avestros. They are a small ecosystem all their own. They have some of the most unique flora and fauna of any location in all of the Sky Kingdom.

Caelestis Horizon
One of the most ancient and mysterious areas in all of Avestros is the Caelestis Horizon. It appears endless as it stretches across the sky with an explosion of colours. Many know of this phenomenon as the Aurora Borealis. From the outside, it would appear that there is nowhere to go but to fly through the beautiful colours. As one enters the fluctuating lights, they can find that they are able to stand upon them as if they were made of solid earth.

There is a constant, high-pitched hum that many describe as the sirens of the sky. Though none have ever found proof that such a creature exists, the myth remains prevalent throughout Avestros. The sound is usually unnerving to many a tourist. The Caelestis Horizon expands for what seems like forever. It is described more as a desolate landscape void of any interesting sights with the exception of the dancing lights that encompass the entire sky.

The deeper one goes into the Caelestis Horizon, the more likely they are to become disoriented and get lost. There are also many tales that those who go too deep into the Horizon don't make it back out. Those that do make it out are forever changed by what they've seen in what they call the Endless Passage.

Avestros Scholars have studied the Horizon for years but they have never uncovered any truth to the stories about the sirens, or the Endless Passage even existing. It is heralded throughout Avestros as one of the most beautiful mysteries in all of Avestral.

Histerec Woods
Histerec Woods are ancient and ominous. There is a darkness that weaves through the massive primordial trees. The woods are larger than one might imagine when one first encounters them. How large can a forest on an island be after all? Ravens fly through the ancient trees and cry a foreboding song for any who dares to enter the depths of the forest. These birds flock in abundance at the deepest parts of Histerec Woods. In some places, it is impossible to tell the swarm of Ravens apart from the ominous blackness that seeps through the pores of the thick rows of trees. There are even fewer signs of life in Histerec Woods the deeper you go. It is like a silent sanctuary that is carefully guarding secrets.

The greatest mystery is how the woodlands can consume so much territory. It is as though these ancient woods have a voracious appetite. Throughout this domain, moss creeps into every nook and cranny it can. It spans the entirety of the great tree limbs, and dangles precariously like a great living curtain. The deeper in the forest you go, the moss darkens the light. The Ravens have made their homes in the curtains of moss overhead. The heart of Histerec Woods is claustrophobic. There are not many who return from the very heart of this vibrant woodland realm.

Notmer Basin
Notmer Basin is a thriving marshland harbor at the Midlands' heart. It is not enough that turbulent seas surround the Midlands, but their very center is also a wetland. The docks here are as mysterious as the men who run them. The ships they command do not float upon the water and navigate the narrow channels between the grassy islands. Their ships disappear into the murky marshland waters and only surface again once they reach their destinations.

There is much to be said for all the Midlands, but mainly that they are ancient and mysterious. Many a local recall a visit from mysterious creatures they would not have met without being in proximity to the Basin. Some call the visitors the Pyscli. Others know them as the Waste Fiends. These individuals seem to arrive only at the most strange times and can do things that seem to defy the laws of nature beyond even the rules of magic. Encounters with the Psycli are generally either unpleasant.

Somewhere within the confines of the basin, and past the great, hairy pines, lies something unusual. The keepers of ancient knowledge covet this mysterious object. Many have heard stories of a legendary object that is responsible for the abilities of the Psycli. The object is fiercely guarded and those who attempt to find this object often turn up missing.

Nifithid
Nifithid is a region that encompasses the coastline of all of the Midlands. It is difficult to know where to begin describing the beautiful region. Large slate-green stones form the land that would usually be made of white sand. There are rocky drystone walls as far as the eye can see. The peaks are covered with thick dry grass and sea-worn stones. The region of Nifithid closest to the sea is shaped into relatively flat bands that consist of slate.

Most of the stone is relatively coarse or even rocky. As one progresses inland, the stone becomes rougher, finer, and, more colourful. Nifithid begins as a sweeping gray mass of stone and what appears to be volcanic rock clambering its way from the sea floor, and transitions into a range of colors. There are mountains near Nifithid that are fed by two large lakes, Bracondeshile and Tresponds. These lakes receive their water from brackish springs and a lake of saltwater. Nestled across the region are smatterings of outcroppings made up of many crystals that create a kaleidoscope effect when the sun hits the crystalline structures just right.

These structures are labyrinthian in nature and offer an array of dazzling sights. They open their maws and swallow adventurers whole. Winding tunnels creep beneath the shores of Nfithid. Some collide with one another, and some tunnels are flimsier than others. Locals describe these ancient structures as being full of wonder and riches.

Temperei Medusa
Temperei is the very heart of all Lumeira, although it tends to be hard to find. This sprawling city is built upon the top of a massive jellyfish, known as the Medusa, that drifts with the currents below the surface of the sea. Temperei is the largest of the Medusa cities, and therefore it is the easiest location to find because it can be seen from the surface of the sea.

Temperei is a flourishing city of artisans, artists, and other talented individuals. They favor building and creating above all else. Those who visit this massive Medusa city find themselves easily lost in its winding corridors of coral and finely chiseled masonry. The city is always illuminated by the bioluminescent flora and fauna that thrive in this temperate location.

Temperei is easiest to find for inhabitants of Lumeria, although there are several smaller cities built atop smaller Medusas. They travel in generally the same direction as Temperie although some drift further out. Unless you belong to Lumeria, these scattered Medusa cities are almost impossible to find. It is more often than not that strangers stumble upon these cities never to see them again.

The Medusa jellyfish tendrils hang down all the way to the sea floor despite their massive sizes. This is one of the key ways that many Lumerians pick up on the path to find Temperei. It is the only one that will leave a rift in the seafloor, and dust that churns for hours before settling once more.

The fair leaders of Lumeria reside here amongst the other artisans. They ingratiate themselves among the masses, and can often be found working with others. Temperei is rich in culture and has a vast array of knowledge. A visit here will surely inspire almost anyone who sets their eyes upon it.

Reef of Merilune
Nestled at the bottom of the sea, and sweeping a majority of its expanse sits an area known as the Reef of Merilune. It is a vibrant trove of life and beauty. Deep in Merilune are alien forests made up of many unnamed types of flora. Many of them are bioluminescent in nature.

Amidst the alien structures are coral forests, and long-forgotten temples made from shell stones. Merilune has many mysteries and an abundance of debris scattering the thick seabed. It would be easy to get lost in Merilune if not for the ability to see the sea overhead and hear the low rumble of the passing Medusa.

Despite the raw beauty of the Reef, there are many dangers that lurk in the darkest corners. Some of the most aggressive and vile entities lurk in plain sight. Many artisans of Lumeria flock here to gather resources, but just and many face great peril in doing so.

There are tales of an ancient creature that takes the form of the one thing that the viewer desires most. The spell it puts the victim under is powerful, and few escape its grasp alive. Many Lumerians know to avoid Merilune reef during the ritual for it s said that this creature hunts only during this time.

Those who fair well in Merilune tend to be clever and quick. These Lumerians enjoy the spoils and rewards that the reef has to offer.

Nepturei Abyss
The deeper one goes in Merilune, the closer they get to the Nepturei Abyss. A cold, dark place full of peril. Lumerians generally avoid the abyss at all costs. Far too many lose their lives, or simply go missing forever.

For those the tales of horror don't scare, there are great riches said to be lost in the depths of this endless trench. Nepturei Abyss is a world of glacial prominence. It is one of the most ominous appearing locations in all of Avestral. Old cities and temples sank beneath the sea floor many years ago. They created great structures and underwater caves.

The old city streets of Lumeria have become a labyrinth, and even those once familiar with those streets get lost. Relics from a lost time encourage those who are either courageous enough or ravenous enough to find them. While the danger of getting lost in the old cities and temples of Lumeria is a prominent one, it is not the only danger visitors face while here. Bizarre and deadly creatures also call the Abyss their home.

Massive, ink-black eels covered in spikes can be found roaming all over Nepturei. Their spines pack a powerful sting and can render victims unconscious. Lumerians have found uses for the strange flora in Merilune that helps curb the effects of these eels.

The brave who venture to the deepest depths of Nepturei Abyss will find an endless catacomb of darkness. Those who do make it back from this "point of no return" often chatter nervously about the things they've seen or felt down in the abyss. This only adds to the general malaise that the very mention of Nepturei can evoke in many Lumerians.
